Our newest philanthropy project, alpha phifa, is a community-wide soccer tournament held at the end of a week of our wellness week. Hosted annually during fall quarter, this week and fundraiser promote wellness on campus and support women’s heart health.

Our past largest event, which was hosted annually during winter quarter, was Mr. Alpha Phi, a male pageant that raises awareness and money for women's heart health. In addition to watching Stanford's finest young men perform in a variety of competitions, including a talent portion and a swimsuit competition, we are proud to say we raised more than $21,000 this past year, making Mr. Alpha Phi one of the most successful Greek philanthropic events on Stanford's campus.
Other philanthropic Events and Activities
This spring, Stanford Alpha Phi will participate in a number of community service and philanthropy projects. In March, we will visit the Opportunity Center, which provides housing assistance, medical services and mental health help to the homeless. Our first project at the Opportunity Center will be sorting clothing for the homeless.
In addition, our chapter is in the third year of its partnership with local nonprofit, Girls to Women. This organization provides an afterschool program for the girls of low-income families in East Palo Alto. Stanford Alpha Phi attends the program on a weekly basis, planning activities and serving as mentors for the girls.
This past year, members of our chapter participated in, and even helped to plan and run, Stanford Dance Marathon and Relay for Life. We also enjoyed attending other Greek philanthropies including Kappa Alpha Theta's Thetabreakers, Pi Beta Phi’s Pizookie, Kappa Kappa Gamma's Snowchella, Delta Delta Delta’s Stacks and Sigma Chi's Derby Days.
